Projektarbeit: IT Consulting, System Integration ggf. vor Ort beim Kunden

Dein Profil

3+ Jahre Arbeitserfahrung
Experte im Betrieb von PostgreSQL Datenbanken (Cluster Systeme, Backup, …) und idealerweise Erfahrung mit dem MS SQL Server
Gute Kenntnisse im Bereich PostgreSQL Replication und Backup Mechanismen (bspw. Barman)
Gute Kenntnisse in SQL, Datenbankmodellen und -analysen
Idealerweise Grundkenntnisse in Java, JDBC, JPA und Flyway
Gute Kenntnisse in Linux und Docker
Gute kommunikative Skills (DE/EN) gepaart mit hoher Motivation & Eigeninitiative
Starker Technologiefokus & Qualitätsbewusstsein

Und dafür suchen wir Dich! Als Datenbank-Experte optimierst du kontinuierlich unsere Datenbank-Deployments (PostgreSQL und Microsoft SQL-Server) und erkennst Performance-Bottlenecks von Weitem und weißt wie du diese proaktiv beseitigst.

Gemeinsam mit dem DevOps Team agierst du dabei als Schnittstelle zwischen der Backend Anwendungsentwicklung (Jakarta EE mit JPA) und dem Betrieb.

Your mission

Continuous optimization of database performance and proactive monitoring with the appropriate tools
Development, discussion and responsibility for database operation concepts
Creation and implementation of database backup and disaster/recovery concepts
Project work: IT consulting, system integration, if necessary on-site at the customer's premises

Your profile

3+ years of working experience in the Ops/DevOps, Database Adm. field
Expert in operating PostgreSQL databases (cluster systems, backup, ...) and ideally experience with MS SQL Server
Good knowledge in PostgreSQL replication and backup mechanisms (e.g. Barman)
Good knowledge of SQL, database models and analysis
Ideally basic knowledge in Java, JDBC, JPA and Flyway
Good knowledge of Linux and Docker
Good communication skills (DE/EN) paired with high motivation & self-initiative
Strong technology focus & quality awareness
